AYL has learned that Real Salt Lake have acquired midfielder Dema Kovalenko from the New York Red Bulls.  In exchange, New York will receive a conditional late-round pick in next year's MLS SuperDraft - the exact round will be determined by how much playing time Kovalenko sees this season.

The veteran 30-year-old midfielder is expected to add some bite and veteran leadership to Real's midfield.
